Project Manager

About the job
RJS is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Professional Services team. RJS Project Managers are responsible for the overall coordination and completion of specific customer projects, including software implementations, service engagements and other activities.

Candidates should have at least two years of experience managing complex technology or software-related projects. Critical requirements include strong organizational and problem solving skills, and the ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Candidates must also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to effectively manage the work of RJS team members and the expectations of customer stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand RJS products and Professional Services project methodology and processes.
  • Coordinate the efforts of Professional Services team members in order to deliver projects according to plan.
  • Identify and resolve project issues and escalate to proper authorities if necessary.
  • Manage multiple customer projects simultaneously.
  • Present regular status updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage project budget and resource allocation.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and customers in a timely fashion.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and create contingency plans when necessary.
  • Travel up to 20% of the time to meet with customers, scope projects, etc.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of  experience managing software or technology implementations projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage people and complex projects. 
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four year college or university.
  • PMP or CAPM certification preferred but not required.
