Brinker International automates manual report splitting processes
Headquartered in Dallas Brinker International owns, operates or franchises more than 1,500 well-known restaurants worldwide. The company implemented PDF Splitter to automate what were formerly time-consuming, manual report splitting processes.
Right data to the right people
Before implementing the PDF Splitter, Brinker International's PeopleSoft Payroll application, which runs on an HP server and Oracle database, could produce, but not split, comprehensive, company-wide reports.
Busy restaurant managers lack the time to sift through full reports to find data related to their establishments, and full reports contain confidential information not suitable for broadcast distribution.
In order to responsibly communicate report data to restaurant managers, Brinker International had no choice but to manually split and mail or e-mail relevant portions of company-wide reports.
Time-saving solution
In search of a smarter report-splitting process, Brinker International eliminated a costly PeopleSoft option in favor of the PDF Splitter.
Brinker International's PDF Splitter automatically separates, categorizes, compresses and password-protects reports before sending them to intended recipients via Email Report Server.
According to Brinker International System i Technologist Richard Gault, the PDF Splitter was quick and easy to implement, and paid for itself four times over in just the first year of use.
